Google Persists On Sexualising African Culture

On Thursday 12 October, Tv Yabantu sent a final email letter to Google asking to reconsider there attitude towards African woman and its related content of our cultural events and videos. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY REPLY FROM GOOGLE.

The story was quickly published by Mail & Guardian read here,  and was further quickly picked up and covered by many other medias including the BBC  News.

Update: Subsequent to publication, the M&G received the following from a representative for Google: “Google says it has lifted the restriction on the videos that were age-restricted as it is not its policy to restrict nudity in such instances where it is culturally or traditionally appropriate.”

Google has a tendency to manipulate, deceive, lie and defend itself. Tv Yabantu videos still continue to be age restricted with two of the latest videos marked Google The racist already been age restricted and further 350 videos marked as unsuitable for advertisers. see screen shots below. This is a deliberate and unjust racist attacks on African woman and Culture.

Unsuitable For Advertisers

As you can notice from the screen shot below the video highlighted in red (review requested) Umemulo – Zulu Virgins Ceremony an appeal for review was initiated and Google YouTube denied the appeal and reinstated that it is unsuitable for advertisers.
